The Heart & Soul Behind Flowerama

Established in 1998, Flowerama has been serving San Antonio and the surrounding communities, in the exact same location, since its inception. Owned and operated by Amanda King, Amanda, has always had a passion for all things design. Born and raised in west Texas, Amanda has called San Antonio home since graduating from Texas A&M University. Originally a kindergarten teacher, and then a stay-at-home mom, owning and operating a fresh flower shop was the perfect career move for Amanda in order to combine her love for design with her passion for helping others.

Flowerama is a family business in every sense of the word. On any given day it wouldn't be uncommon to find Amanda's husband driving a delivery van, her daughter helping with customer service and her son processing flowers. When the holidays roll around, especially Valentine's and Mother's Day, the term "family business" takes on a whole new meaning; as you will find Amanda's Mom, in-laws and even aunts and uncles, all stepping up and to lend a helping hand.

When not tending to her flower shop, you will likely find Amanda and her husband at ballgame somewhere; either a softball game for their daughter, who currently plays softball for Baylor University, or a high school basketball game of their son's. In addition to spending time with her family, Amanda enjoys spending time with her two dogs: Rosie and Daisy.
